Largemouth Bass is the predominate species fished for on Kerr Lake and they take spinner baits and crank baits. Largemouth love cover. Even a point of land jutting out gives them security on one side. Underwater structures found by a fish-finder can also hold largemouth. Tree stumps and boat docks are also favorite haunts. In the spring they move to warmer, shallower water to establish their nests.
